Unique Coastal Destinations is your access for two luxury accommodation sites. Whether you are looking for a relaxing stay only 45 minutes north of Sydney on the pristine waters of the Hawkesbury River or the tranquility of the beautiful eco-friendly Keswick Island located in the Whitsundays, part of the Great Barrier Reef marine park.
We started our first holiday rental some 25 years ago just out of Sydney. Enjoying the experience of providing short-term holidays for Sydney-siders, we expanded our reach by purchasing the Boat House on Hawkesbury, the largest and most unique holiday property on the lower Hawkesbury River.
Our ethos is to provide those wishing to have a short break away, for whatever reason, with a quality property that will not disappoint.
Unique locations with all the creature comforts of home and more are our hallmark. We will tailor your holiday to suit your requirements and make sure your needs are met wherever possible.

If you are staying for a weekend, you will most likely want to spend all of your time at the Boat House enjoying the luxury of such a well appointed and unique space.
Swimming, fishing, sunbaking, reading, relaxing, cooking, playing billiards, soaking in the Jacuzzi, chatting with friends, taking in the breathtaking scenery... the weekend will be blissfully spent in no time.
If you are staying for a week and bring your own boat, you will be able to explore the beautiful clear waters of Cowan and Pittwater. Swimming at clean, sandy beaches, or finding a secluded fishing spot make for a memorable day. Visit the many famous waterfront restaurants such as Berowra Waters Inn, Cottage Point Restaurant or Peats Bite. For something a little less formal there are a number of cafes at the various marinas on the waterways.
Don’t have your own boat? Book the local water taxi to take you to a special location for lunch or dinner. Or have a mouth-watering fresh seafood platter delivered to the Boat House for a special occasion.
The Boat House is a renowned spot by locals for catching jewfish, flathead and bream. Bring your own bait, rods and tackle. There is excellent fishing to be had right off the deep waterfront wharf.
Despite the Boat House only being accessible by boat, it is still possible to go for easy walks by strolling along the waterfront. See the charming weekenders, many of which have been on the river for generations, and admire the new and renovated houses lived in by those who love the peace and serenity of our waterfront lifestyle.
For those wanting a lengthier, more vigorous walk, catch the water taxi back to Brooklyn and hike a section of the Great North Walk.
However you spend the hours away from the Boat House, relish in the luxurious thought of your return to the house, to once more enjoy its many idyllic pleasures.
